Solstice Greetings from the Boabom Council!!!

The Boabom Council wishes everyone a great positive energy, a happy solstice, new season, and new year!

With the Sosltice, Summer in the North and Winter in the South, the Boabom Arts celebrate the ending of one year and the beginning of a new one, a new cycle, with energies renewed and eyes fixed forward, anticipating new steps on an evolving path and in the dance that all join in, sharing the rhythm of all life on Earth.

We can all take time now to meditate on the cycle that has passed, to enjoy and celebrate the fruits of our labors. Just as all of us have grown, expanding and evolving over the past year, so too have the Boabom schools grown, expanded, and evolved. We would like to recognize several of their achievements here.

1. Development and Growth of the Boabom Schools: All of the Boabom Schools have continued to grow and expand over the past year, able to offer more teachings and receive more students, and able to bring the Boabom Arts to more people!

2. Books about the Boabom Arts: This year has been very productive in regard to books about the Art. Three books by Asanaro have begun or continued their lives: Bamso: the Art of Dreams was officially published  in English, Mystic Meditations was published in Spanish and English, and the translation of the Legend of the Mmulmmat into English is nearly complete, and will be published soon.

3. Internet Media: This year has seen the publication of the new website boabomsur.com, and the schools have begun to work with social media such as Twitter and Facebook. As well, the Boabom Journal and el Diario Boabom have flourished, receiving submissions from many students around the world. The official page of the Boabom Council, boabom.org, has been redesigned and perfected, and has been translated into many languages; we can highlight its complete translation into Tibetan as a great accomplishment of this year.

4. Aid and Community Assistance: This year the Schools, each in its own way, have worked to go beyond the teaching, to put the idea of sharing energies into practice, working with groups and organizations that need assistance. For example, the Northern School has sponsored the Tibetan Altruism Association, based in Lhasa, and has also helped other organizations, including Heifer International, the Eastern Service Workers Association, Alliance Guinea, and others. The Southern School has been working ceaselessly on ecological concerns, experimenting with alternative construction and reforestation, and at the same time, helping other institutions, such as Coanil (corporation for helping handicapped children in Chile). They have also given aid to various organizations working in recovery efforts in response to the 2010 Chile earthquake.

This past year has been a great journey, and this coming cycle will be marked by even greater advances, a further step towards true knowledge of ourselves, as we focus our thoughts so that our future efforts will be intense, auspicious, and with positive results, in the life of each one and in that of the Schools.

May the positive energies to come illuminate your future path! May the stellar winds always blow in your favor!
